Grill to Hood Grommet for Jeep 1976-86 - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: - What body parts from a CJ7 can I use as replacements for my CJ8? - A large number of CJ7 body parts are interchangeable with the longer wheelbase CJ8. All body panels forward of the firewall are the same including the windshield frame, and dashboard plate. After the firewall the front floor panel is also the same for both Jeeps, but this is were the similarities end. From the rear step-up back the bed of the CJ8 is 10" longer overall and has its own vehicle specific body panels. Please contact your retailer of choice for required OMIX-ADA part numbers.

This is a 1964 1/2 MUSTANG that should have been crushed, but due to the year and rarity I chose to save it. Some of the clips are not in order, but you will still get the idea of the extent of the repair. The repairs include replacing the front and rear frame rails, replace trunk, partial floor repair, partial repair to both quarter panels and inner fenders. The front end had to be completely replaced, including frame rails, shock towers, inner fenders, front crossbrace and cowl repair. A police cruiser's dashboard camera captured Monday morning's stunning crash on Interstate 675 near Dayton. The video shows a 1985 Pontiac Firebird passing by in the median, striking a culvert on the ground and then being launched into the air. The car slams into the overpass, turning into a shower of parts. The State Highway Patrol says driver Brennan Eden was ejected onto a highway shoulder. Troopers say he was alert and conscious after the crash. Investigators are trying to determine how fast the car was going.

1966 Ford F-250 ("Ethel")

This is my beloved 1966 Ford Pickup which was a GIFT from my even more beloved wife Barbara. The truck is affectionately nicknamed Ethel. Ethel has a stock 352 FE Y block motor, recently rebuilt C6 trans and newly rebuilt steering and brakes. Although she isnt pretty, this beast is my daily driver. She starts with one turn of the key,and so far no engine work has been needed. she has the stock exhaust manifolds but the single pipe has been converted to duals with glass packs. Future plans include a 4 bbl manifold and carb, and an electronic ignition. also full paint and body, the color will be the original blue, new cloth panels for the original seatcover as the vynal is still really good and the back of the seat has a bitchin gear and lightning bolt Ford logo. Also new headliner, chrome bezzels for the headlights and front turn signals among other things including a possible suspension upgrade for a smoother ride, as she tends to ride a bit rough (doesnt bother me but the wife has a bad back). Ethel has manual steering and brakes so far all the "Silly boys trucks are for girls" chicks, NOT THIS ONE DARLIN'. lol. This Ol girl is a dream come true for me and I want to publicly thank My wife Barbara for buying her for me. I love you Sweetheart.

Playlist for this build www.youtube.com Cutting out lexan body youtu.be Washing and applying masks youtu.be Painting lexan body youtu.be If this is the first time you have cut a lexan body I would suggest that you practise on some of the waste lexan around the body using both scissors and the knife. This will help you get a feel for the tools and those that work best for you -- make sure you try cutting curves. One you feel confident then practise on cutting the light buckets -- don't worry if you make a mistake they will be hidden. Now you are confident work around the body of the truck, remembering to cut into the waste to make it easier to remove sections. Once complete start work on the rear flatbed. With all cut to size you now need to cut all the 23 holes into the body panels using a body reamer. Work slowly with this and remember to clear the hole from the reverse. Body Post holes 6mm, Body to cage mountings 3-4mm and Flat bed to cage 2mm. Tools you will need to hand are -- Sharp craft knife, marker pen, straight lexan scissors, curved lexan scissors, body reamer, some small files.
